LUMINARY WHIPPERSNAPPER

source: allvectordesign.co

Your children are not your children. They come through you but not from you,And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts,For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls,For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your childrenas living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His mightthat His arrows may go swift and far.Let our bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies,so He loves also the bow that is stable.

{Kahlil Gibran: The Prophet; ChildrenThey are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself}.

After being the mother of two kids; life is spun with them, can’t imagine a day without sharing, caring,   and having fun with them. The feeling of supremacy I get when they look at me, as person who know everything above and below the sun, their feeling of secure, when they are in my arms, when they hug me with tears as a sole aboard of relief, when they kiss me the selfless expression of love, and when they sleep  in my lap restoring the faith that Amma is there, to take care of everything..... I feel with the same expectation I look upon the God!I thank my children to giving me the-God like experience. And more than that...Thank you for making me realizes my-Mothers unconditional flow of love. I thought of sharing the few innocents moments and experiences I had while raring Sai Dyuthi andSai Divith....

Saturday, November 2012.
Dyuthi's dad was enlightening her, about Indian nation.India is our country,Its is our mother country,Dyuthi: then what’s your country appa? After a great laugh we managed to make her understand the meaning of mother country. Then the conversation went on to our national bird, animal, tree, flower, fruit and game.Since she surprised by answering the above question, her enthusiastic dad asked her;Which is the capital of India?Confidently Dyuthi replied “I”......

Sunday, June 2010, Biobase sports day.
We where traveling back to home, after our company's sports meet in our VP's car.Dyuti accompanied us for the event, she was tired and trying to dose off in my laps. Our finance manger and others in the car where having an animated talk about the past sport events.Few suggestion and arguments were exchanged. From my lap a irritated voice echoed : “shut up! Finger on your lips.”There was not even steering turning sound.......

Dhashra 2011, Karthic House.
Karthic Laxman, our colleague has invited us to his house on the occasion of dhashra festival. We took Dyuthi to expose her to various art work and craft done at his place. She started off happily; on reaching his house after introduction she didn’t open her mouth. She didn’t answer any Questions nor responded to any jokes cracked. She was stiff as a staunch. We got worried of her behavior, so while returning back I asked gently the reason behind her behavior.I know all-Dyuti replied “Amma, you only advice me, not to speak with strangers, out there I didn't know anyone, you lay the rules and when I obey you pester me.  Onoda mudila amma”.......

Lime rice
Viram always used to waste food kept for lunch box. After trying out so many varieties of food there was no change. Scolding, threatening, pampering didn’t help. Do what ever I will not have food was the attitude of 6 year old boy Viki.On one fine Monday afternoon Banu amma loosed her temper on opening his lunch box, with so much of anger she dragged the small boy to bathroom and emptied the lime rice on his head, and scalped him on his cheek, saying “from now onwards, it will be like this, if you don’t finish your box, I will kill you”.The small boy was shaking so much…Not because of crying, but was giggling uncontrollable….Confused mom asked him “what happened why are you responding like this?”With a charming smile Viki told “Amma if you where really angry, you would have poured the rice over my head, in the hall (living area) itself, but you dragged me to bathroom, so that it’s easy for you to clean it here.Stunted mother had to slime at her clever son.......

Snake and Dog
Alphy Stephen was a 6- year old girl. She used to take her 5 –year old younger brother to school everyday. Her mother will advice her, not run or play on the roads, to hold hands and walk safely.Once she advised them not to run if the see a dog, if they run dog will also run and it will bite them. One afternoon while returning from school, near a banana groove these children saw a snake in front of them. Innocent Alphy was confused, whether it is for dog or for snake, they shouldn’t run.Bravely she took a decision and instructed to her brother “hey chotu, don’t move, stand like a statue and the snake will think we are stone and will move away.”The obedient brother and intelligent sister stood for 20 minutes like that. The confused snake then wandered off. But back home beating worst than the snake bite was awaiting them. ......

Honey bee
Alphy Stephen’s brother was hitting a honey bee badly, with a bat. By seeing the rude nature of her bother Alphy panicked and advised him, “chotu we should not harm animals, that they are very small, see. This baby honey bee’s mother and father will be searching him and crying. We should always protect other living being. Imagine if somebody beats you are me how bad our parents will feel.”Alphy’s brother felt ashamed of his act and promised his angel sister, that hence forth he won’t commit such a mistake. Two days after that again a honey was disturbing the poor child and he remembered his sister’s words and opened the window, for the honey to go out. It was not working so; he himself went outside the study room, without disturbing it. After some time the little brother hears a banging noise from the room, when he peeps into the room, his eyes popped out.His angel sister is hunting down not only the little honey bee, but its entire family.

Dyuti grandmother as always was praising her grand daughter activity and were adoring her. In a concerned tone she address to dyuti grand-pa, " I do-not know how is going to marry her, will he look after her like a princess?"  Dyuti immediately came with a lap-top and said " Patti why are you worrying. if you don't know anything, just Google-it." Her grandparents were wonder-stuck!
